Frequently asked questions
How do I decide what each funder can see of my request?
Everything happens on your request page, in the “Funder access” section. When a funder expresses interest, you choose: Grant the summary (your declared information — country, currency, scheme, monthly income or annual turnover for a legal entity — never your identity or documents), Grant the full file (identity, contact details, guarantor and documents, read-only through temporary links), Decline, or later Revoke (with immediate effect). Each decision applies only to the funder concerned and is logged. Nobody — not even a platform administrator — can grant access on your behalf. If you have not agreed to share your documents (the default, changeable at draft stage), the full tier cannot be requested: only the summary can be asked of you, and messaging remains open. The only exception: accepting an offer automatically opens the full file to the chosen funder — and, symmetrically, the access of the funders not selected ends automatically at that moment, as it does when a request is withdrawn or expires.
Why can't I attach my ID card, passport or commercial register extract?
In application of the Head of Government's circular no. 5 of 2 September 2026 (securing national digital systems — prohibiting the circulation of official administrative documents through unofficial channels), Best Crédit neither collects nor stores any official public document: no national identity card, no passport, no commercial register extract. In fact Best Crédit collects **no** identity identifier at all — neither document nor number (ID card number, commercial register or tax identification): the financial institution that needs it asks you directly through messaging — which opens as soon as you grant access (summary or full file) or an offer is made. The other documents (income, professional certificates, statements) are unchanged, and the guarantor's file must contain no copy of any identity document.
What happens after I accept an offer?
Your request closes, the other offers are declined, and the selected institution obtains your full file and contact details to finalise with you. If it wishes, it can send you a credit notification — an email summarising the terms of the accepted offer (amount, term, rate or margin, monthly instalment, fees, total cost) and reminding you that this acceptance is not yet the contract: final approval, signature and release of funds take place with the institution, which checks your file. A loan commits you and must be repaid.
Can I withdraw my request?
Yes, as long as it has not been fulfilled: on your request page, “↩️ Withdraw my request” (a confirmation reminds you of the consequences). Withdrawal is final: the request leaves the market, pending offers are declined and all granted access ends — each funder concerned is informed.
What happens to a request that receives no offer?
It stays visible on the market for 90 days. If no offer arrives within that period, it expires automatically: it leaves the market and you are notified. You can then create a new, better-calibrated one — check in particular that your amount and declared income match the criteria of active funders.
Can I apply for an honour loan (قرض على الشرف) on Best Crédit?
No — this scheme is outside the platform's scope, as the notice permanently displayed under the site header recalls. Honour loans — small-amount financing, without interest or collateral, provided for by article 412 ter of the Commercial Code (Law no. 41-2024) and Decree no. 2026-148 of 23 July 2026 — are handled exclusively on the banks' own platforms: the application is filed directly with the bank concerned. Best Crédit does not publish, route or compare any request falling under this scheme.
How long is my data kept?
Strictly as long as necessary: a file's documents and messages are erased 12 months after it closes (and immediately if you delete a draft); access logs and handled reports are kept for 5 years as evidence; an account inactive for 3 years is deleted if empty, anonymised otherwise; your cookie choice lasts 6 months. These purges run automatically every day — the details are in our privacy policy.
How are the monthly instalment and total cost shown on an offer calculated?
The platform calculates them itself, to the millime. Conventional offer: capital, credit rate (nominal annual) and term — instalments in constant annuities (monthly rate = rate ÷ 12), with an exact schedule whose final instalment clears the capital. Sharia-compliant offer: capital, a margin agreed upfront and term — fixed instalments whose last one clears exactly capital + margin. In both cases, total cost = sum of instalments + processing fee − capital, and the platform derives from it an effective rate excluding insurance (rate or margin + processing fee, on the net capital) — an indicator comparable between offers, which is not the full statutory APR (insurance, commitment fees and other charges belong to the institution's contractual offer). Every offer with a schedule is furthermore compared, on that effective rate, with the excessive-rate caps published by the BCT: the outcome of this check is logged and communicated to the funder, who alone is responsible for the regulatory compliance of their offer. These amounts are shown for guidance, to compare — final amounts are provided to you by the chosen funder, in the contract concluded off-platform.
Which types of credit can I request, depending on my profile?
The form only offers the types consistent with your profile. Individuals (retiree, employees, Tunisians living abroad): consumer, vehicle, mortgage, renovation, education. Student: education, consumer, vehicle. Traders, craftspeople and liberal professions: all nine types (personal and professional life). Companies, startups and community companies: working capital, equipment, investment and leasing. Requests created before this rule remain valid as they are.
Can I change my borrower profile (employee, retiree, company…)?
Yes, at any time from My account, “Borrower profile” section (the CNSS/CNRPS scheme is asked of retirees). The change applies to your NEW requests: those already created — drafts included — keep their original profile and the corresponding required documents, so that what funders see stays consistent.
How does a funder manage its team?
Best Crédit creates the organisation and onboards its first member: the ⭐ super admin — a single one, the governance lead, who cannot be removed or changed from the interface (transferring the role goes through the platform, on request). The organisation then manages itself from the 👥 Team page: the super admin and admins add members (the person must create their account first), change roles (admin ↔ analyst) and remove members — the super admin always remains. Each of them can also restrict a member to certain governorates, within their own scope only; an admin, moreover, only sees the team and the requests of their governorates. These operations are sensitive actions: if two-step verification (2FA) is enabled, it is required.
What is the difference between “super admin”, “admin” and “analyst”?
All of them work the market: viewing requests, submitting offers, exchanging via messaging. The admin additionally has team management (👥 My Team): adding, promoting, demoting or removing admins and analysts. The super admin — a single one, created by Best Crédit when the organisation is onboarded — governs the whole: they set the organisation's targeting filters (⚙️ My Filters) and manage the entire team; they cannot be removed or changed from the interface (transfer: contact Best Crédit).
What is Best Crédit?
Best Crédit is a Tunisian introduction platform: you publish your financing need in anonymised form, and licensed funders (banks, leasing, microfinance) submit competing offers. You compare and you choose. The platform handles no funds and grants no credit itself.
Do you offer Sharia-compliant financing (Murabaha, Ijara…)?
Yes. When you post your request, you choose the financing regime: conventional, Sharia-compliant, or no preference (the default — your request is then visible on both markets and receives more offers). Compliant institutions offer commercial contracts with a fixed schedule — Murabaha, Ijara, Musawama, Istisna'a — with a margin agreed upfront instead of a rate (whose effective rate excluding insurance is pre-checked against the BCT caps), as well as participative financing — Musharaka, Mudaraba, with profit sharing — and Qard Hassan, a benevolent loan with no margin. The comparator places every offer, conventional and compliant, side by side on TOTAL COST: you compare the same quantity, transparently. The Sharia compliance of an offer is certified by the issuing institution's board — Best Crédit routes and compares, but issues no religious opinion.
Is it free for borrowers?
Yes, entirely. Posting a request, receiving offers, comparing them and exchanging with funders is free — Best Crédit never charges borrowers anything, neither at sign-up nor afterwards. If someone asks you for a payment in the name of Best Crédit, it is a fraud: do not pay and report it immediately.
Who can see my personal information?
Nobody, by default. Your request is published anonymised: no name, no contact details. Your identity and documents only open to a given funder if YOU decide so, access by access — every grant is logged and revocable at any time.
How are my supporting documents protected?
Your documents live in a private storage space — never publicly accessible. A funder to whom YOU have opened the full file views them read-only through signed links valid for 48 hours, after which the link dies. Exchanges are encrypted (TLS). And the clean-up is real: replacing a document purges the old one, deleting a draft erases everything immediately, and a closed file is purged 12 months after it closes.
How is my account protected?
Sign-in uses a one-time code received by email — no password to remember or to steal. Your phone is verified by SMS before any submission. You can enable two-step verification (an authenticator app): once enabled, sensitive actions require the code. And a suspended account has its sessions cut immediately.
Which sensitive actions require the 2FA challenge, when it is enabled?
Two-step verification is an individual choice: each member enables it or not on their own account (Account page) — unless your organisation's ⭐ super admin chooses to require it from all members (👥 Team page, Security section): each person must then enable it to regain the market, offers, messaging and the team. When it is enabled, a session that has not met the challenge is first redirected to it when entering any private area (requests, market, messages, account). Then four consequential actions require it expressly on the server side, whatever happens. For a borrower: accepting or declining an offer, and granting, declining or revoking access to their file. For a funder: submitting an offer on a request, and managing their team — adding a member, changing a role, removing, assigning governorates. The rest of the navigation stays frictionless.
Does Best Crédit sell my data? Will I receive advertising?
No, and no. No sale or transfer of data, no advertising cookies, no audience measurement, no cold marketing. The only emails you will receive relate strictly to the lifecycle of your request (publication, new offer, acceptance…) — messaging deliberately sends no email, so as not to wear you out.
Can a funder contact me without my consent?
No. A conversation can only open after an offer has been made on your request, or as soon as YOU grant access (summary or full file) to that institution — never cold (anti-outreach). Until you have opened the full file, you appear as “Borrower DEM-…” and contact details exchanged in messages are hidden in both directions. Off-platform, nobody holds your contact details without a grant from you.
Are funders verified?
Yes. Only financing institutions that have passed our verification (KYB) reach the request market. Each funder remains subject to its own licence and to Tunisian regulations.
How are offer rates regulated?
Every conventional offer shows its credit rate (nominal annual), its processing fee, its effective rate excluding insurance and its monthly instalment, all calculated by the platform. Before publication, that effective rate is pre-checked against the excessive-rate caps published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (Law no. 99-64) — for guidance, since the full statutory APR belongs to the contractual offer: the outcome of the check is logged and brought to the funder's attention, and the funder alone remains responsible for the compliance of their offer. Sharia-compliant offers carry no rate but a margin agreed upfront; their effective rate excluding insurance (margin + processing fee) is computed server-side, pre-checked against the same caps and logged the same way — the same transparency, whatever the regime. Only participative offers (Musharaka, Mudaraba), with no guaranteed return, fall outside the scope of this rate check.
Do I have to pay fees to release a loan?
Never. No legitimate counterpart will ask you for “advance fees” to release financing. This is a classic scam: our messaging blocks such requests, and you can report any suspicious behaviour in one click (⚑).
What happens when I accept an offer?
The other offers are automatically declined, the selected funder accesses your full file read-only, and contact details are exchanged. The credit contract itself is then processed and signed directly with the funder, according to their procedures.
Does a loan commit me?
Yes. A loan commits you and must be repaid — check your repayment capacity before committing. Best Crédit makes comparison easier, but the decision and the responsibility for borrowing are yours.
